VIS 4183A - Special Topics in Visual Arts
Special Topics in Visual Arts include courses designed for both studio and art history students. The studio courses will consider experimentation with innovative or mixed media and sustained explorations of self-expression. The art history topics will concentrate on critical issues and movements, monograph studies of artists and architects, and iconographic themes which appear in painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, and photography. Graphic Design and Digital Arts majors will have the opportunity to develop their portfolios with creative projects oriented to their desired field in publishing, animation/web design or product and packaging design. Prerequisite: Three credits in Visual Arts or permission of the instructor.
