VIS 3152A - Museum Studies II
This course will be a continuation of Museum Studies I. Topics that will be covered include collections care, fundraising, outreach programs, future trends in museums, ethical issues in museum education and management, disaster planning, and the importance of accreditation from the Association of Museums. First-hand experience with museums and galleries in the form of field trips as well as hands-on projects are integral aspects of the class. Prerequisites: VIS 1001C, VIS 1002C and VIS 2151A.
