VIS 1002C - World Art II
In this course, students examine the Visual Arts in the West from Renaissance Europe to the twenty-first century in a contextual format. The art of Asia, specifically Japan, and Africa and the Americas will also be explored within the context of their cultures. A comparative and formal survey of painting, sculpture, and architecture will take place through slide lectures and discussion. Field trips to museums are an integral aspect of the course.
