SSC 6606 - Comparing Different Worlds
Students learn comparative politics, the systematic comparison of political systems, institutions and processes. This course focuses upon theoretical approaches to the political organization of society, as well as upon the political behavior of populations around the world and the political institutions and processes that structure their environment. Students are introduced to contemporary political systems (e.g., Western industrial democracies, communist and ex-communist states, etc.).
