MGT 2077A - Business Law I
Introduces law, legal institutions, and the legal environment of business--the U.S. Constitution, common law, and statutes as sources of law; courts, quasi-courts, and administrative agencies as remedial agencies. The substantive law of contracts, negotiable instruments, partnerships, corporations, sales, bailments, wills, trusts, and estates will be discussed. The common law doctrines of criminal conspiracy, civil conspiracy, restraint of trade, interferences with advantage relations and injunctions, the Sherman Act as applied to labor, the Clayton Act and labor, and others will be examined.
