|LIT 6634 - Screenwriting|
This course is a graduate workshop in screenwriting. We
will study various screenplays in depth to analyze their
techniques and methodology, focusing on both classic and
contemporary examples. We will practice various
screenwriting techniques through exercise and imitation.
The bulk of the class will consist in the students'
development of a complete, full-length (ca. 120-pp,)
screenplay, which will be workshopped in class and
revised over the course of the semester. Students will
be expected to provide clear and specific feedback to their
peers to help in the revision process.
