LIT 6633 - Fiction Writing
This course is a workshop in the writing of fiction. We will study various short story writers/fiction writers to analyze their techniques and methodology; we will practice various narrative techniques through exercise and imitation; we will write fiction. The bulk of the class will consist in the students' development of two short stories or chapters for a novel which will be workshopped in class and revised over the course of the semester. Students will be expected to provide clear and specific feedback to their peers to help in the revision process.
