LIT 6621 - The Epic Tradition
This is a course on the Epic Tradition with the particular epic, epics, or epic period varying from year to year and instructor to instructor. Students look at how to read, research and investigate epic poetry as well as the historical, cultural and literary contexts of that particular epic or epics. (Note: In Spring 2003, the variable topic was classical epic poetry with special emphasis on the Homeric Poems and The Aeneid.)
