|ESC 1022A - Stellar and Galactic Astronomy|
Study the nature and level of knowledge regarding the
universe from the standpoint of stellar and galactic astron-
omy. This course will cover the structure, function and
evolution of our sun, stars, our Milky Way galaxy and the
origin and evolution of the universe with particular
attention to current theories and concepts (i.e. quasars,
black holes, etc.).
Prerequisite: "College-wide requirement in mathematics".
