ENG 3159A - Literary Criticism
A study of the principles and practice of literary criticism. Early critics are surveyed with major attention to contemporary critics. The student is expected to develop an understanding of major schools of criticism and to formulate his or her own approaches to the interpretation explication, and evaluation of literature. Prerequisite: ENG 1001A.
