EDL 7527 - Advanced Literacy Seminar
This course is for graduate students who are pursuing both literacy certifications: Literacy Birth through 6th grade certification AND Literacy 5th grade through 12th grade certification. During the seminars literacy assessment and instructional approaches will be discussed. Graduate students will demonstrate the ability to write reports based on their assessment findings and instructional recommendations. They will also demonstrate an understanding of how to develop and carry out an instructional plan which includes their students' needs, and their instructional approaches. They will write analyses and reflections of their literacy sessions with their students. Prerequisite(s): EDL 5500, EDL 6502, EDL 7516, EDL 7517, and a minimum grade of B in EDL 7517. Corequisite(s): EDL 7526.
