EDA 7399 - Research Project Secondary Edu
In the second part of this two-part course sequence, students conduct an/or utilize formal and informal assessments while conducting an individual research project. Students will be introduced to the data collection process and statistical analyses through a series of exercises that will prepare them to collect and analyze data for their own individual project employing SPSS. Students will also be introduced to the data information systems currently in use on Long Island including Datamentor and BARS. The course will also emphasize the importance of data-driven decision making for teachers and other professionals. Students will also be asked to consider the links between their individual research projects and classroom diversity and social justice issues in American secondary schools. Prerequisite: EDA 7307.
