EDA 6389 - Sub Methods Seminar Adoles Edu
In this course candidates attend a subject specific seminar (the area in which they are seeking certification) and work with a master practitioner in conjunction with their full- time student teaching experience. The course includes topics on planning and preparation of units within the candidates' content area in grades 7 to 12 while updating the candidates's knowledge and skills. The course stresses the use of technology, including instructional and assistive technology, skill in using technology, and teaching students to use technology. Candidates will be required to present lessons that demonstrate their skills in using a variety of grouping structures, managing classroom routines, integrating technology, and using both formative and summative assessments. Adolescent track: Prerequisites: Core requirements and 36 credits in certification subject. Corequisites: EDA 6391, EDA 6392. Dual Certification track: Prerequisites: EDA 6362, EDS 5402 and 36 credits in certification area. Corequisite: EDA 6392.
