DRM 1011A - Oral Interpretation of Lit
This course explores how a reader can interpret written material for an audience so that both the reader and audience experience and appreciate the author's literary creation. Working without the burden of memorization, students will focus on voice as the chief instrument of interpretation as they learn to embody the roles and voices of specific characters drawn from a wide range of material to be read aloud including: prose, poetry, dramatic literature, folktales, and other sources.
