CHM 2071A - Environmental Pollution-Air
This course is an introduction to the effects of technology on air quality. It includes topics such as meteorology, physical geography, industrialization, urbanization, the nature of chemical contaminants, particulate matter, noise, and their effects on humans and other living and non-living things. Students learn methods to collect and interpret data, identifying the cause and effects of environmental pollution, meteorological aspects of pollution, and methods of pollution control. Examples, case studies, and field studies are an integral part of the laboratory experiments and exercises. Prerequisites: CHM 1001C, CHM 1002C, CHM 1003C and CHM 1004C.
