ANT 3101C - Patterns of Culture I
A critical examination, using ethnographic case studies, of the ways of life in socially simple (so-called "primitive") societies and in the countryside in more complex societies. The course will introduce students to the cultures of a wide variety of areas, such as the Americas, Africa, Oceania and East Asia. Prerequisite: Junior standing.
